Dr. Monica M. Gaudier-Diaz is a Neuroscience professor at UNC Chapel Hill, where she encourages her students to achieve higher-order thinking in a safe space for learning. As a Hispanic neuroscientist, she also empowers people from underrepresented groups to pursue their dreams.

The Vagus Project is excited to welcome neuropassionates to our guest speaker webinar focusing on the overlap between neuroscience and minority studies on September 18th, 2021. Dr. Monica Gaudier-Diaz, a professor at UNC-Chapel Hill, will be our guest speaker and will talk about her experience as a Hispanic and a minority neuroscientist, getting her Ph.D., and doing postdoctoral research. Her interests focus on the influences of social and environmental factors on health and well-being. Bring questions as there will be a Q&A section of the webinar!
